A shorter, more concentrated espresso — bold, sweet, and intensely focused.

What you’ll need

  • 18g finely ground Aureo Café coffee

  • Espresso machine or manual espresso-style brewer

  • 22–25g hot water (92–94°C)

  • Scale

  • Timer

Brew ratio

1:1.2 – 1:1.4
18g coffee → 22–25g liquid espresso

How to prepare

  • Preheat your cup and portafilter.

  • Dose 18g of finely ground coffee.

  • Distribute evenly and tamp firmly.

  • Start extraction and the timer together.

  • Stop the shot at 22–25g yield.

  • Total extraction time: 20–25 seconds.

Extraction goal

  • Texture: thick, syrupy

  • Color: deep, dark caramel

  • Finish: sweet, intense, minimal bitterness

Precision tips

  • Too sharp? → grind slightly coarser

  • Too heavy or muddy? → shorten extraction by 1–2 seconds

  • Flat cup? → increase dose by 0.5g
